I find it sad that the Framer team in general is very active on X (whose leader/owner seems to suffer from a rigid arm syndrome, like Dr. Strangelove ) and keeps an eye on the Reddit /framer channel, but is practically inactive in their own Framer community, for some reason. They post advice (like prompts), engage with users, showcase Made in Framer work, repost important (also fun) stuff from the Framer eng/prod/pm teams... on X.com, their platform of choice —and it is a very well-managed social media channel— but not here, or very seldom.
Why discard your own branded community, where your users not only post the things they do but are also hoping to find help, technical advice and encouragement? @Framer built the community. The users came. The staff chose to stay elsewehere (even the corporate account).
In the last three months the @Framer account has posted or reposted seven times here. You need to resort to X to find content posted by Framer staff from individual and corporate accounts.
For instance: Rob Hope (of One Page Love fame, now sold) has joined Framer! This is excellent news, and we can't even know about it here.
Do correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe I'm missing something? Have you forsaken the only product-focused, controlled environment, social platform you own? Open to debate and dad jokes. 🙏🏻
I understand that people aare busy and cannot be expected to be everywhere. But give some love to this community, jump in if you see a technical or product-related issue that needs clarifying, or if you can help your users. They will love you for it.
